A custom built camera sled outfit with video equipment, lasers and lights was deployed from the NOAA research vessel Tatoosh during the month of September 2006 and 2007. Video data from specific dives falling within the bounds of the HMPR-110-2002-04a survey area were reviewed to examine the benthic characteristics as a tool for validating sonar imagery.
