Southwest Peninsular Florida
This data set contains human-use resource data for anchorages, beach access points, boat ramps, diving locations, ferries, locks and dams, and marinas in Southwest Florida. Location specific type and source information are stored in relational data tables (described below) designed to be used in conjunction with this spatial data layer. ESI data characterize the marine and coastal environments and wildlife by their sensitivity to spilled oil. The ESI data include information for three main components: shoreline habitats, sensitive biological resources, and human-use resources.
This data set comprises a portion of the ESI data for Southwest Peninsular Florida. The entirety of the ESI Human-Use data layers consists of: PARKS-MANAGED AREAS Polygons; NAVIGATION-MARINE Points; POLITICAL-JURISDICTIONAL Polygons, Lines, Points; RESOURCE MANAGEMENT Polygons, Points; SOCECON Polygons, Lines, Points; and NATURAL HAZARD Polygons.
