Sarah is a quantitative biologist who uses mathematical models to determine how processes operating at different scales and levels of organization interact to shape the spatiotemporal distribution of organisms. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Eastern Connecticut State University and her Ph.D. in Ecology, Evolution and Marine Biology from Northeastern University. Sarah works on theĀ  Cooperative Research Branch's squid research portfolio, including the new longfin squid biological sampling program (SQUIBS), the Illex electronic size monitoring program (ILXSM), and process-oriented research on oceanographic drivers of Illex.
