NOAA Fisheries' biological opinion on amendments to the Fishery Ecosystem Plan for Pelagic Fisheries for the American Samoa longline fishery.
The proposed federal action addressed by this biological opinion is implementation of the Fishery Ecosystem Plan for Pelagic Fisheries of the Western Pacific Region (Pelagics FEP) as amended, which includes a modification of the management program for the American Samoa longline fishery. The amendment is designed to reduce interactions between green turtles and the American Samoa longline fishery, and was developed by the Western Pacific Fishery Management Council.
