This Regional Implementation Plan will inform the Marine Recreational Information Program's work to support fisheries science and management in the U.S. Caribbean.

This Regional Implementation Plan will inform the Marine Recreational Information Program's work to support fisheries science and management in the U.S. Caribbean (Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands). It was developed by a team of scientists, citizens, and government representatives that included individuals from the NOAA National Ocean Survey, NOAA Fisheries Office of Science and Technology, NOAA Fisheries Office of Sustainable Fisheries, NOAA Fisheries Southeast Regional Office, NOAA Fisheries Southeast Fisheries Science Center, Caribbean Fishery Management Council, Gulf States Marine Fisheries Commission, Puerto Rico Department of Natural and Environmental Resources, and USVI Department of Planning and Natural Resources, and includes an assessment of regional data collection programs and a list of implementation priorities to meet regional data needs.
