The NOAA Fisheries Seafood Strategy was released in 2023 after five years of collaborative development with all sectors of the seafood industry. The strategy—an outgrowth of President Trump’s 2020 Executive Order Promoting American Seafood Competitiveness and Economic Growth—outlines NOAA Fisheries’ direction for supporting a thriving domestic U.S. seafood economy.
