Diversity and Inclusion Strategic Plan

NOAA Fisheries is committed to advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility at all levels of the organization. We are aligned with NOAA’s mission of science, service, and stewardship. We recognize that the best “business case” for diversity is our commitment to “Mission First; People Always.” Our efforts continue to cultivate a diverse workforce to reflect, understand, and respond to the varied communities and stakeholders we serve.

Regional Strategic Plans

We have also released five geographic strategic plans as a complement to the NOAA Fisheries Strategic Plan. These plans reflect the practical approach to managing our fisheries and marine resources implemented in 2017. They are focused on addressing our agency’s highest priorities to amplify the economic value of commercial and recreational fisheries and recover and conserve protected marine species.
