Washington Department of Natural Resources Proposed Plan for State-Owned Aquatic Lands

In 2018, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and NOAA Fisheries West Coast Region announced the availability of the Washington Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) proposed Aquatic Lands HCP, draft EIS, and draft Implementing Agreement. 

Summary

In 2018, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and NOAA Fisheries West Coast Region announced the availability of the Washington Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) proposed Aquatic Lands HCP, draft EIS, and draft Implementing Agreement. 

WDNR developed the proposed HCP for management of 2.6 million acres of aquatic lands. It is WDNR’s goal to manage these lands in ways that protect fish and wildlife and provide opportunities for commerce, navigation and public access.
