This rack card provides an overview of for-hire reporting requirements in the South Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico. It explains how NOAA Fisheries uses electronic trip reports, in-person intercepts, and telephone surveys to collect data from state and federally permitted for-hire vessels and answers common questions about new reporting requirements, including why continued participation in the For-Hire Survey is necessary to support the smooth transition to the Southeast For-Hire Electronic Reporting Program.
