This opportunity is at the Northeast Fisheries Science Center's Milford Laboratory in Milford, Connecticut, where current research focuses on host-pathogen dynamics as well as environmental drivers of disease. Fellows will gain an understanding of how veterinarians and researchers can support aquaculture sustainability in this context.

As a part of the program, fellows will participate in career development activities and network with other aquatic veterinarians across NOAA. The program aims to promote a diverse aquatic veterinary community and those students from backgrounds and identities historically underrepresented in veterinary medicine and aquaculture are especially encouraged to apply. Funding is available to support student travel and housing expenses.

This program has a rolling application period. Applications are reviewed as they are received. The application period for fellowships between April 2024 and October 2024 is now open.
