GAIA Satellite Project

Public source code for the GAIA (Geospatial Artificial Intelligence for Animals) web application, NOAA’s cloud-based platform for ingesting, processing, organizing, and annotating very high-resolution satellite imagery in support of marine wildlife monitoring and satellite-based protected species research. Developed to support scalable expert review workflows and future AI-assisted detection efforts.
