About The Species

Siderastrea glynni is a species of coral only found in Panama in Uraba Island, Panama Bay, near the Pacific opening of the Panama Canal.

Under the Endangered Species Act, NOAA Fisheries must list threatened and endangered marine species regardless of where they are found. Siderastrea glynni is listed as endangered throughout its range under the ESA.
