Kristan Blackhart
Kristan earned a BS in Fisheries Science from the University of Washington and a Masters degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of California Santa Cruz. After beginning with NOAA Fisheries as a Knauss Fellow in 2004, she spent 16 years supporting the Office of Science and Technology’s National Stock Assessment and National Habitat Programs. In 2021, she was appointed as the lead of the National Stock Assessment Program. Kristan joined the Northeast Fisheries Science Center in 2024.
