Description:

The Seabeam 2000 Multibeam Bathymetric Sonar is a 2-degree by 2-degree sonar system that uses up to 121 beams (60 beams used in shallow mode). SeaBeam 2000 operates at a center frenquency of 12 KHz in water depths from 10 to 11,000 meters with a swath width of up to 120 degrees (90 degrees in water deeper than 4600 meters), in the presence of up to +/- 10 degress of roll and +/- 7.5 degrees of pitch. The SeaBeam 2000 was first developed in the late 1980's and the last known installation was active until 2004.
