Sub-surface Automated Sampler (SAS) are computerized timers attached to a low-power peristaltic pump to collect water samples at episodic intervals (i.e., every 4 hrs over a 24-hr period). Designed and developed by researchers at NOAA's Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory (AOML) and the University of Miami to help scientists study water chemistry on shallow reef habitats. |
