Summary
The Exempted Fishing Permit, Letters of Acknowledgement, Scientific Research Permits, and Exempted Educational Activities program involves 4 seperate processes for authorizing vessels to conduct fishery related research or educational activities, but be exempt from some or all Federal fishery regulations. In addition, there is a Letter of Authorization Program for limited access sea scallop vessels participating in research activities approved through the Sea Scallop Research Set-Aside Program.
