Time Frame 1
2000-01-01 - Present

Beginning in January 2000, vessels holding a limited-access Atlantic herring permit were required to submit weekly catch reports via the NMFS IVR call-in system. Open-access herring vessels were required to report to the IVR system if they landed > 2000 pounds of herring on a trip.

Time Frame 2
2011-09-08 - Present

Beginning in September of 2011, limited-access herring vessels no longer have IVR reporting requirements and instead need to report daily to the VMS system. Open access herring vessels must report to IVR if they land any herring, regardless of poundage.
