Summary
This data set is the result of a survey of residents on Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands implemented to collect data about knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions towards the Marianas Trench Marine National Monument. A telephone survey was administered in January and February 2012 using random digit dialing to phone numbers. Questions were designed to assess public knowledge, perceptions and preferences about specific management actions and goals that were being considered for inclusion in the Monument management plan. There is additional information about the demographics of survey participants.

Abstract: |
This data set is the result of a survey of residents on Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands implemented to collect data about knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions towards the Marianas Trench Marine National Monument. A telephone survey was administered in January and February 2012 using random digit dialing to phone numbers. Questions were designed to assess public knowledge, perceptions and preferences about specific management actions and goals that were being considered for inclusion in the Monument management plan. There is additional information about the demographics of survey participants. |
