Tracklines created from mosaiced side scan imagery where actual position of towfish is somewhat unknown since position was estimated through layback calculations. Horizontal position will be more accurate than lateral position since only horizontal position is accounted for during layback calculations. Ocean currents can move the towfish laterally with respect to the along-track direction and introduce error in positioning. |
