The raw mean grain size data was kriged. Krig parameters: ordinary kriging, first order trend removal. This data set is a point coverage of known sediment samplings, inspections and probings from source data: usSEABED data collection. This data set represents theextracted (EXT) and parsed (PRS) output of the dbSEABED mining software. It contains the results of parsing descriptions in the data resources. The PRS data is less precise because it comes from word-based descriptions, but will include information on outsized elements, consolidation that are not usually in EXT data.

Calculate slope, 4. layers from steps 2 and 3 wereintegrated in the Zone Classification Builder Tool, standard deviation break = 1, slope value = 2.Bathymetric data sources include the U.S. National Ocean Service Hydrographic Database, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and various other academic institutions. Topographic data are from the USGS and the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM). Volumes 3 through 5 also use bathymetric contours from the International Bathymetric Chart of the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico project.
