Abstract

This dataset layer displays information on associated sediment characteristics collected at each station from the RV Connecticut cruises in the MA WEA. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration assumes no responsibility for the use of these data. The RV Connecticut data was collected during a cruise: 07/27/2015 - 08/03/2015. Sediment data was collected by benthic grab, processed and is recorded as mean phi, fraction sand, gravel and mud. This dataset is being used to derive cummunity metrics for NOAA/NMFS/NEFSC Benthic Assessment Report to BOEM, for the offshore Wind Energy Areas (WEAs). This dataset was created by NOAA/NMFS/NEFSC/Sandy Hook Laboratory/Coastal Ecology Branch, 2015-2017.
