Abstract

The purpose of this dataset is to display the Massachusetts Wind Energy Lease Areas to be used in a benthic assessment report.The purpose of this dataset is to display the Massachusetts Wind Energy Lease Areas to be used in a benthic assessment report. This dataset was derived from source data obtained from the BOEM WindPlanningAreas (shapefile) downloaded at http://www.boem.gov/uploadedFiles/BOEM/Renewable_Energy_Program/Mapping_and_Data/Wind_Planning_Areas.zip. The Massachusetts Wind Energy Lease Area was clipped was then clipped and post processed from that source dataset. This dataset was created by NOAA/NMFS/NEFSC/Sandy Hook Laboratory/Coastal Ecology Branch, 2017.
