Summary

Abstract

This dataset layer displays information on associated habitat characteristics collected at each station from the AMAPPS cruises in the Mid-Atlantic. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration assumes no responsibility for the use of these data. This AMAPPS data was collected druing two cruises: 1. 3/11/2014-3/25/2014, and 2. 4/16/2014-4/17/2014. Sediment data were collected by benthic grab, and is recorded at mean phi, and fraction sand, gravel and mud. This dataset is being used to derive cummunity metrics for NOAA/NMFS/NEFSC Benthic Assessment Report to BOEM, for the offshore Wind Energy Areas (WEAs). This dataset was created by NOAA/NMFS/NEFSC/Sandy Hook Laboratory/Coastal Ecology Branch, 2015-2017.
