Abstract:

Annual visitor arrival counts to the CNMI by country of origin (2006-2016). These are supplemental data to support the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands Fishing Community Profile: 2017 Update
Purpose:

National Standard 8 (NS8) of the Magnuson-Stevens Fisheries Conservation and Management Act (MSA) requires that NMFS, in establishing fisheries conservation and management measures, take into account the importance of fishery resources to fishing communities in order to: (1) provide for the sustained participation of such communities; and, (2) to the extent practicable, minimize adverse economic impacts on such communities.
