Summary

Description

Evaluation of bottomfish and coral reef fish life history parameters and evaluation of spatial connectivity of isolated populations were identified as high priorities during a series of stock assessments workshops in 2004. This study was conducted in 2015 to collect biological data from bottomfish and coral reef fish species from commercail fishers in Guam. Biological information including length-weight data, hard parts for age determination, and gonad samples. Fishermen were contracted to collect this information to provide another source of biological information and to collect across a large size spectrum.

This study was conducted in 2015 to collect biological data from bottomfish and coral reef fish species from commercail fishers in Guam. Purpose:

To collect biological information on age, length-weight, and reproduction across a more diverse sampling domain (more than just a single fish auction) and size spectrum than currently available.
