Physical specimens (fin clips) stored in vials of ethanol in IRC Wet Archival storage, or sent to the SWFSC for genetic analysis, all have labels containing the specimen ID number assigned by the participating observer for identification. All information linked to each fin clip such as location, lengths, sex, etc. is stored in an Excel Spreadsheet on Meagan Sundberg's hard drive and G: drive at IRC.
