Full Citation Examples
In order to determine variations in distribution of the newly discovered Lampris spp., numerous research institutions, observer programs, and museums were contacted in an attempt to collect viable tissue samples available for genetic analysis. This spreadsheet is documentation of the continuous correspondence that occurred and is occurring between the point of contact and the institutions contacted.

Abstract: |
In order to determine variations in distribution of the newly discovered Lampris spp., numerous research institutions, observer programs, and museums were contacted in an attempt to collect viable tissue samples available for genetic analysis. This spreadsheet is documentation of the continuous correspondence that occurred and is occurring between the point of contact and the institutions contacted. |
Purpose: |
With the discovery of new Lampris species, I wanted to see which species inhabited different parts of the world. This dataset was created to organize the numerous contacts acquired in the past, present, and future regarding all things Lampris. |

Data Presentation Form: | Table (digital) |
Entity Attribute Overview: |
The physical specimens (fin clips) obtained from successful fin clip collection attempts are stored in vials of ethanol in the wet archival storage in the IRC, or were sent to John Hyde for genetic analysis; all have a specimen number assigned to them for identification purposes. Each fin clip has additional information associated with it such as location, lengths, place of origin etc. This information is stored in an Excel Spreadsheet on Meagan Sundberg's hard drive and G: drive at the IRC. |
