| Abstract: |
Small boat surveys are conducted in the waters surrounding the islands within the American Samoa EEZ. |
| Purpose: |
Data collected during small-boat surveys are used for population studies. Photos are used for individual photo-identification to anaylze movements, social structure, and abundance. Biopsy samples are used for genetic analysis and population structure, contaminant and stable isotope analyses. Acoustic data are used for studies on the regional differences/similarities in stocks. |
