The Voices from the Fisheries Database is a central repository for consolidating, archiving, and disseminating oral history interviews related to commercial, recreational, and subsistence fishing in the United States and its territories. |
| Purpose: |
Work with non-agency partners to identify existing marine fisheries focused oral history interviews and to encourage those who collected them to contribute copies to the VFF Database so that they become more easily available to others. |

This metadata record is intended to provide current, summary information on the Voices from the Fisheries (VFF). As the system continues to evolve, each production release of VFF will have a child metadata record within this parent record (see "Child Items" below). This metadata record will be updated over time to reflect any major changes to the system. Minor changes and release specific information will be documented in the children, release specific metadata records. |
