North and South Pacific Albacore Troll and Pole-and-line Logbook

The North Pacific Albacore Troll and Pole-and-line logbook data set contains catch, effort, transshipment, and landings data from 1964 to the present. The South Pacific Albacore Troll logbook data set contains catch and effort data from U.S. troll vessels fishing in the South Pacific, from 1987 to the present. Data from both fisheries are maintained in the same sets of tables.

These data are collected for use in monitoring the fishery and stock assessments on north Pacific albacore and to fulfill reporting obligations of Pacific Regional Fisheries Management Organizations and the USA-Canada Treaty.

Data from the north Pacific fishery from years 1995 through the present year and data from the south Pacific fishery from years 2005 through the present year are maintain in an Oracle database. Data from the north Pacific fishery from years 1961 through 1995 and data from the south Pacific fishery from years 1986 through 2004 are maintained in legacy staging tables in Oracle
