Summary
Trip Ticket was initially developed in the year 2000 for the state of Louisiana to allow seafood dealers to electronically report commercial seafood landings. Since then, versions have been created for Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, and Texas, in that order. A new release for year 2012 will include the functionality to collect and send HMS data electronically and to optionally send Trace Documents to Trace Register for traceability purposes. Approximately 700 dealers are currently using the Gulf States Trip Ticket program.
