Abstract

The Milford Microalgal culture Collection holds over 200 live cultures representing 13 classes of of algae. The cultures are maintained in three different growing media and are routinely transferred into fresh growth media four times a year. A bacterial/mold contaminant test culture is done for each transfer. Date of transfer and bacterial test results are recorded.
