Development of quantitative tools for modeling animal movement and habitat use from satellite telemetry data

The goal of this project is to develop quantitative tools for the analysis of animal movement and habitat use from satellite telemetry data from marine turtles and other protected species. Objectives of this project include:

1. Extension of the R package, crawl, to include latent movement states and handle current ARGOS data error structure.

2. Development of software for resource selection inference from point process models

3. Demonstration of applicability to marine turtle and other protected species movement, resource utilization, and resource selection

4. Development of web-based interface for the analytical software
