Technical Environment

Description:

Data are recorded onto paper logs, transcribed to MS Excel, and then migrated into SQL Server. The CSV file available here was created from the MS Excel file.

Data Quality

Completeness Measure:

This data set is continually subject to QA/QC, and may be modified or updated based on hard-copy field notes. Users should check for the date the data set was last updated.

Quality Control Procedures Employed:

Observations are recorded in-field to a paper log and then electronically entered at the end of the day. A second researcher audits the electronic records against the paper log. The project lead audits the electronic records at the end of the season to identify logical errors and outliers.
