The Research Publication Tracking System (RPTS) is a scalable, customizable, web-based, database-driven system designed to support the management of the review process, from submission through publication, for NOAA manuscripts and other fundamental research communications, collectively called "Research Publications" (RP) in the system.

Purpose:

The Research Publication Tracking System (RPTS) provides the following benefits:

a) Provides a centralized solution for tracking the internal review and approval of manuscripts and other fundamental research communications .

b) Facilitates the standardization and streamlining of business processes.

c) Allows customization for organizational differences.

d) Integrates with other systems.

e) Allows enterprise level awareness of important manuscripts and other fundamental research communications.
