Marine Recreational Information Program Extract, Transform, and Load (METL)

The Marine Recreational Information Program (MRIP) Site Register system is a robust, centralized, database driven, and web accessible application used to facilitate the collection and management of site characteristic and fishing activity data for all recreational fishing sites on the U.S. Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico coasts.

The Marine Recreational Information Program (MRIP) Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) system will be a tool to load raw data from various sources, format them and run through various QA/QC processes.

This metadata record is intended to provide current, summary information on this system. As the system continues to evolve, each production release of this system will have a child metadata record within this parent record (see "Child Items" below). This metadata record will be updated over time to reflect any major changes to the system. Minor changes and release specific information will be documented in the children, release specific metadata records.

MRIP States

METL is accessible only through logins managed by NMFS personnel.

States provide data through through methods: (1) www.st.nmfs.noaa.gov/metl, (2) SFTP, and (3) Database link to GSMFC.
