Summary
The Fisheries Statistics Division collects data and coordinates information and research programs to support the science-based stewardship of the nation's living marine resources.
The Division provides authoritative advice, coordination and guidance on matters related to the collection, analysis and dissemination of biological, economic, market and sociological statistics by NMFS and state agencies.
To administer the surveys used to estimate recreational landings.
