Summary

Abstract

The BENTHIC table contains links to the attribute information for the vector polygons in this data set representing areas of high ecological value for submerged aquatic vegetation, coral reefs, algae, and hardbottom communities. Species specific abundance, seasonality, status, life history, and source information are stored in relational data tables designed to be used in conjunction with this spatial data layer. See the Entity_and_Attribute_Overview for a detailed description of how the primary attribute tables relate to the geographic data layers.
