Abstract:	This layer depicts the 116th Congressional Districts for the United States. Found within this layer is the listing of the 116th House of Representatives. Elected to a two-year term, each representative serves the people of a specific congressional district by introducing bills and serving on committees, among other duties. The districts are symbolized by the political party of the current representative.
Purpose:	To support coastal and ocean planning and other activities pursuant to the Energy Policy Act, Coastal Zone Management Act, Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act, National Environmental Policy Act, Rivers and Harbors Act and the Submerged Lands Act.
Supplemental Information:	The native coordinate system for this layer is NAD 1983 (ESPG: 4269). Please note: all MarineCadastre.gov data served by the NOAA Office for Coastal Management and hosted through Esri REST services are in the WGS 1984 Web Mercator Auxiliary Sphere (EPSG: 3857) projection.
