These data contain shipboard current magnitudes and directions collected in the Pacific, both pelagic and near shore environments. Data is collected using an RD Instruments Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP), operating at 75 kHz frequency. ADCP current data obtained during shipboard surveys are used to study the current characteristics of specific mesoscale environments, such as mesoscale eddies and seamounts, and the effects of these environments on the ecosystem. |
