ORT_Reports (Known Area Boundaries)

This layer depicts all the known area boundaries used within the quick reports feature of the current Ocean Reporting Tool which covers only the Southeast of the United States and it's offshore waters. Currently known area boundaries include the National Estuarine Research Reserves, Active Renewable Energy Leases, Wind Planning Areas as well as offshore water areas. Offshore waters areas include State Waters (shoreline to 3nm), Federal Waters (3nm to 50nm), as well as waters offshore of coastal counties for Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.

To support coastal and ocean planning and other activities pursuant to the Energy Policy Act, Coastal Zone Management Act, Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act, National Environmental Policy Act, Rivers and Harbors Act and the Submerged Lands Act.
