SEDAR 97 GSMFC Gulf of Mexico Menhaden

SEDAR 97 addresses the assessment for the Gulf of Mexico's menhaden population. This process will be an update to the previous assessment (SEDAR 63). The Gulf States Marine Fisheries Commission will be coordinating the assessment primarily via webinars to be announced through their GDAR process (Gulf Data, Assessment, and Review). The NOAA Fisheries Beaufort Laboratory is providing the model and expertise for the operational assessment which includes fisheries data through 2023. A final report for GDAR 04/SEDAR 97 will be presented at the Commission's fall meeting in October 2024.
