Summary
This Package contains the code that reads and logs data errors within the initial load and processing of data in the NORPAC data set. Data streams come from electronic submissions via ATLAS, data input of faxed observer reports, and from the editing and debriefing process. Since the deployed version of ATLAS is refreshed only annually, error checking on the client will require augmentation by rigorous validation. Data keypunched from faxed forms is not validated at the source and must be reviewed prior to loading into the production table set. Finally edits may affect or invalidate related information in child or parent tables which are not verified by trigger logic. Consequently the entire set of scipts must be executed, and any errors iteratively logged.
The package body is organized by transaction table and private procedures call each in the logical validation order.
