These data include temperature and depth (pressure) recorded every minute while deployed on longline gear. They provide information on the depth at which both deep- and shallow-set gear are fishing, as well as ocean temperatures in the fished environment. |
| Purpose: |
The purpose of this dataset is to further our understanding of: - how longline fishing gear performs in the water column, - subsurface ocean temperatures, - the relationships between the physical environment and fisheries catch. |

These data are graciously collected for PIFSC by the Pacific Islands Region Observer Program. |
