Abstract:

AA FMA trip is defined as the time between when a vessel casts off lines and ties up. There may be times where a vessel trip doesn't consist of any fishing. Even though no fishing took place a trip record still musy be created when a transit, offload or observer transfer takes place.
Purpose:

Working Tables accept the raw data from field transmissions or data entry. They are unconstrained, Relational integrity data validation is performed when data are loaded into NORPAC transaction tables. Error checking is performed by batch processes on production data.

An FMA trip is defined as any time a vessel leaves a port-floating processor and upon completion it returns to a port-processor and completes an offload or the observer transfers off the vessel. There may be times where a vessel trip doesn't consist of any fishing. Even though no fishing took place a trip record still musy be created when an offload or observer transfer took place.
