The specimen number identifies the fish and the barcode is now an added attribute. Current protocol only requires specimen number to be unique for a cruise/permit, so some users are still using barcode as specimen number; however the 'best practice' is to start at '1' for a cruise and ascend from there for all specimen types and species. | |
