To assess the abundance and spatial distribution of cetaceans in the surveyed area. |
| Notes: |
Research cruises were conducted in the summer (Cruise number GU-10-03) and fall (GU-10-05) of 2010 as part of cooperative research programs conducted for the Natural Resources damage assessment (NRDA) associated with the deepwater horizon oil spill. Data include visual survey, passive and active acoustics, sample collection, physical oceanographic data, and mid-water fish trawl data. These data are incorporated into the NRDA assessment and therefore may have restrictions on their public distribution. |
