Abstract

The cooperative tagging center (CTC) began deploying electronic tags in 2002. To date over 300 tags have been deployed. The following species have been monitored: bluefin tuna, yellowfin tuna, bigeye tuna, swordfish, blue marlin, white marlin, roundscale spearfish, longbill spearfish, sailfish, black marlin, blue shark, and escolar.

Abstract:

The cooperative tagging center (CTC) began deploying electronic tags in 2002. To date over 300 tags have been deployed. The following species have been monitored: bluefin tuna, yellowfin tuna, bigeye tuna, swordfish, blue marlin, white marlin, roundscale spearfish, longbill spearfish, sailfish, black marlin, blue shark, and escolar.

Purpose:

The purpose of the data set is to examine habitat utilization and movement patterns of highly migratorty fish species. Monitoring durations are less than 1 year.
