To determine geographical distribution, growth, survival, and integration with wild populations of Kemp's ridley sea turtles reared in captivity at the Galveston Laboratory, tagged, and released into the wild over a period of 15 years (from 1978 through 1992).

Data collected on Sea Turtle Stranding and Salvage Network (STSSN) field data sheets Sheets forwarded to STSSN state coordinators Coordinator sends sheets to National STSSN in Miami. The National Coordinator then forwards the head start recapture data to the Protected Species Branch at the Galveston Laboratory. |
