Title: Telephone Survey

Purpose:

Texas conducts a telephone survey of Gulf based charter boat captains utilizing components from the MRFSS For-Hire sampling program. It consists of training of interviewers, Sample selection, telephone interviews, and maintenance of the sample frame ((list of active Gulf charter(for-hire)) boats. Data collected is used to estimate effort to aid in estimatione of landings.

Defines survey periods, sampling frame, number of interviews, interview procedures, and duties of the interviewer for the Texas Charterboat telephone survey.
